Accessibility

Last Updated: October 22, 2026

Words & Wiggles is made by a school-based OT and SLP for therapists and the students they serve. We want everyone to be able to use our website, and we keep working to make it easier to use for people with disabilities.

Our goal

We aim for the wordsandwiggles.com website to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. We test our main pages with automated accessibility checks and review them by hand. On the website you'll find:

  • Text descriptions for images, and labeled form fields.
  • Keyboard navigation with a visible focus outline, plus a “Skip to main content” link.
  • Text colors chosen to meet WCAG contrast guidelines.
  • Pages that work with your browser’s zoom and text-size settings.

Known limitations

Our therapy games are interactive, touch- and mouse-based activities (for example tracing, dragging and tapping) drawn inside the game window. Because the activity itself is the therapy task, the games are not fully usable with a screen reader or with a keyboard alone. The flashcards inside the games are images with text.

Our printables are designed to be printed and used on paper, and the downloadable PDFs may not be fully readable by screen readers.

If any part of Words & Wiggles doesn't work for you or your student, please tell us. We're happy to suggest an alternative activity, help you find a printable or flashcard set that fits, or look at how we can improve.

Contact us

If you run into an accessibility barrier, need information in a different format, or have a suggestion, email us at hello@wordsandwiggles.com. Please include the page or game and a short description of the problem. We aim to respond within five business days.

Districts that need accessibility documentation for a purchasing review can request it at the same address.
