This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you visit www.wordsandwiggles.com, create an account, purchase a subscription, use our educational games and printable resources, or otherwise interact with our services (collectively, the “Services”).
Words & Wiggles provides educational resources and interactive games designed primarily for use by speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, educators, parents, caregivers, and other adults working with children.
Information You Provide to Us
When an adult creates an account, purchases a subscription, contacts us, or otherwise uses the Services, we may collect information such as:
Payments are processed through Stripe. Words & Wiggles does not directly store complete payment-card information. Stripe may collect and process payment and billing information in accordance with its own privacy practices.
Information Collected Automatically
Our hosting and infrastructure providers may process limited technical information necessary to deliver, secure, maintain, and troubleshoot the Services. Words & Wiggles also uses Vercel Web Analytics and, with your consent, Google Analytics, as described below.
Words & Wiggles provides educational games and activities that may be used by children, including children under the age of 13. However, Words & Wiggles accounts and subscriptions are created and managed by adults.
Words & Wiggles does not collect, save, or maintain personal information about children.
Children do not create Words & Wiggles accounts, profiles, or user records. We do not save a child’s name, email address, school information, therapy information, game progress, scores, activity history, recordings, photographs, messages, or other child-specific information.
Children may use the games through an account controlled by an adult, such as a speech-language pathologist, occupational therapist, educator, parent, caregiver, or other authorized user.
If a parent or guardian believes personal information about a child has inadvertently been provided to Words & Wiggles, they may contact us at hello@wordsandwiggles.com, and we will take reasonable steps to remove it.
Words & Wiggles uses Vercel Web Analytics to understand general website traffic and improve the performance and usability of our Services. Vercel Web Analytics is configured as an anonymous, cookieless analytics service and does not identify individual visitors.
Google Analytics (with your consent). If you choose “Accept All” in our cookie banner, we also use Google Analytics, which sets cookies that help us understand how adult visitors find and use the website, such as which pages are viewed, which device or browser is used, the general region a visit comes from, and whether a visitor signs up, starts a free trial, or subscribes. We use this information in aggregate to improve the Services and our marketing. Google processes this information in accordance with its own privacy policy, available at policies.google.com/privacy. Google Analytics is not loaded on our game-play pages.
Strictly necessary technologies. Certain strictly necessary technologies are used to provide account functionality, authentication, security, session management, or other features requested by the user. These are required for the Services to work and do not build advertising profiles.
Analytics and advertising measurement cookies (with your consent). Words & Wiggles advertises on platforms such as Google Ads. With your consent, we use Google's advertising tag, which sets cookies that help us measure whether our advertisements lead to visits and subscriptions. This information is used to measure and improve our advertising; Google may also use it in accordance with its own privacy policy, available at policies.google.com/privacy.
Analytics and advertising cookies are set only after you choose “Accept All” in our cookie banner. If you choose “Accept Essential Cookies,” only the strictly necessary technologies described above are used, no analytics or advertising cookies are set, and you can use the Services normally. You can change your choice at any time using the “Cookie settings” link in the website footer, and you can manage Google's ad personalization at adssettings.google.com.
Meta Pixel (with your consent). Words & Wiggles also advertises on Facebook and Instagram. If you choose “Accept All,” we use the Meta Pixel, which sets cookies that help us measure whether our Facebook and Instagram ads lead to visits, sign-ups, free trials, and subscriptions, and to show our ads to people likely to be interested in them. Meta Platforms processes this information in accordance with its own privacy policy, available at facebook.com/privacy/policy, and you can manage how Meta uses information for ads in your Facebook or Instagram ad settings.
We do not use analytics or advertising cookies to profile children, and our game-play pages do not load analytics or advertising tags.
If our use of cookies or tracking technologies changes in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide any consent tools required by applicable law.
Words & Wiggles is not intended to function as a medical-record system, electronic health-record system, student-information system, or repository for identifiable student or patient information.
Adults using Words & Wiggles should not submit protected health information, confidential educational records, diagnoses linked to identifiable individuals, personally identifiable student information, or similar sensitive information through the Services unless Words & Wiggles expressly introduces a feature designed for that purpose and provides appropriate disclosures.
